Story-Telling Contest

In June 2007, current staff and former employees of the ICDDR,B submitted stories about their working experiences at CRL and ICDDR,B as part of a story-telling contest and farewell to Dr. David Sack.  Two interns actively sought out personal recollections of older staff members and recorded their interviews during two afternoons of storytelling. Out of the over 54 memories in Bangla and English judged by professional English teachers, journalists and writers, 6 winners were announced with prizes given.  All of the MP3 recorded interviews, written stories and transcribed/translated stories will be saved in the ICDDR,B history archives.  If other story-tellers wish to submit their personal descriptions of history-making discoveries, heroes, and health breakthroughs at CRL/ICDDR,B, please send accounts to the Communications Office at ICDDR,B:  Jatindra Sarker jsarker@icddrb.org
