Invitation for Registration for the Alumni Association Reunion 2006

Alumni of ICDDR,B are invited to register for the Dhaka Reunion 2006 to be held at Sasakawa Auditorium on Friday afternoon, 8 December 2006. Please contact the Alumni Secretariat (Mr. Subash Saha alumni@icddrb.org/Tele:9899225) or send the enclosed form duly filled in to the Alumni Secretariat. The Secretariat needs a passport-size photo for the new ID membership card to be issued to Dhaka Alumni members who would like to avail ICDDR,B laboratory tests facility and library use and facilitate entry/visit to the Centre.

Regardless of whether you can attend the reunion on the December 8, we invite all former staff, trainees, donors, Trustees, and colleagues of the Centre to become registered members of the ICDDR,B Alumni Association this year! Please visit the alumni website web pages to register online. We invite you also to contribute personal photos and insights for virtual reunions with your friends working around the world. Your write-ups will be edited for the web and reunion souvenir programme to include:

• Tributes to those alumni who have departed
• Smriti excerpts: favourite or exciting memories from your work at CRL/ICDDR,B
• News about alumni and friends from around the world
• Labelled photographs of staff or events in the history of the Centre

Smriti: We are pleased to inform you that the Centre management will be publishing a 2nd edition of the Smriti Book this year. We are sure, without your support and write-ups this would not be complete. The last publication of Smriti Book has earned appreciation of many alumni both at home and abroad and many alumni have encouraged a revised edition with their write-ups. We would therefore encourage your participation at this renewed venture by submitting your write-up recollecting your former colleagues and their association and time with the Centtre and/or narrating your time and an events of interests for your former colleagues and existing staff of the Centre

We are also pleased to notify you that as per By-law of the Article of Association, there will be formation of the Executive Committee of the Association during the general meeting at the Reunion. An Election Committee would conduct the election and therefore, your participation this year at the Reunion is important.
