An important focus of our organizational development is to bring gender equality into our staffing structure.
When the Gender Policy was introduced in 2003, women constituted 46% of the Centre’s staff, with 10% in the national officer categories.
By 2010 we want to have at least 40% of ICDDR,B staff in the national officer categories women.
We have made progress towards achieving this goal. As of April 2009, women constitute 49.41 % of Centre staff, with 42.08 % in the general staff categories and 32% in the national officer categories.
