The Travellers Clinic at ICDDR,B – providing medical services to the expatriate community for over 20 years, including many embassies – is renovating and expanding to provide an even better service to you and your family.

We have refurbished premises and a new team of internationally trained doctors, including expatriate and male & female doctors.

SERVICES

A clinic offering general practice/family medicine, travel medicine, and adult & paediatric services by arrangement, including:

routine diagnostic examinations
women’s health (including cervical smears)
routine/full range of immunizations*
travel vaccinations*
child health & routine child checkups
assessment for referrals
access to investigative facilities onsite:
- laboratory
- endoscopy
- xray
- arsenic/water checks

We provide diagnostic services, including:

dengue & malaria
blood, urine, cerebral spine fluid testing
stool microbiology
liver & kidney function tests; hepatitis
reproductive & thyroid hormone testing
diabetes
antibiotic sensitivity testing

* Childhood immunizations and travel vaccines are available Sunday to Thursday, 9am to 12.30pm, and Monday afternoons from 2pm to 4pm. Please telephone ahead to check the availability of the vaccines you need.

Consultations available in English, Bangla, and some other languages by arrangement.

HOURS

Doctors are available 9am-12pm and 2pm-5pm from Sunday to Thursday (excluding public holidays). Patients with appointments will be given priority. Appointments can be made between 9am and 5pm by telephone on:

COSTS

A two-tiered pricing structure applies for consultations (insured patients US$50/others US$15). ICDDR,B is a non-profit organization and all proceeds from the Travellers Clinic go towards the operation of the Dhaka Hospital.

LOCATION

The clinic is located inside the Diagnostic Unit at ICDDR,B in Mohakhali (near the flyover) and is wheelchair accessible. Limited car parking is available on site.
