Library User--Who can use our services and Facilities

The library is organized and maintained mainly to serve the members of the ICDDR,B staff.

Outsiders may also use the library facilities under certain terms and conditions and following the library rules and regulations. To avail of the library facilities, one must become a paid member (not applicable to ICDDR,B staff) of the library (Details see Library Membership)

Library use by outsiders

The library offers a limited service to the members of the staff of the Institute of Public Health, Mohakhali, Dhaka.

Reading facilities are offered to researchers, physicians, teachers, and students if they have suitable identification, but reading materials and audiovisual items cannot be borrowed. Photocopies can be made on payment (@ Tk 1.50 per page). All outside users (library members) must register their names with complete address at the Circulation Desk whenever they visit the library. No personal belongings, such as reading materials, cell phones, bags, umbrella, apron, etc. and food items may be taken inside the reading and shelf areas. Mobile phones cannot be used inside the library.
