The aim of Manoshi research is to monitor progress, assess impact, and provide realistic solutions to the project teams to solve problems and modify the implementation strategies accordingly.
Research teams in ICDDR,B and RED in collaboration with the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation have developed the research framework for Manoshi. The framework has five interlinking components: formative research, impact survey, system performance research, cost-effectiveness research, and scaling-up research. In order to facilitate implementation and avoid overlaps, system performance research, cost-effectiveness research, and scaling-up research were brought under operations research.
