Current Nutrition Situation in Viet Nam and Mainstreaming Directions

The situation analysis for Vietnam was presented by Karen Lapping.  The health system in Viet Nam is quite decentralized.  The MoH has a National Institute of Nutrition (NIN) which is a technical consultative group well networked with other sectors of the MoH.  Protein energy malnutrition, micronutrient deficiencies, and obesity are some of the major nutrition issues in Vietnam.
