Steering Committee

The Steering Committee of the Improved Health for the Poor project performs the following functions:

  1.  Approval of the Annual Work Plan including budget under the Technical Assistance Project Proforma (TAPP) each year. The AWP will provide details of the specific research projects undertaken each year under this TAPP.
  2.  Review the collaborations with national institutes and advise ICDDR,B and the national institutions on potential opportunities for future collaborations.
  3.  Review the projects and activities being planned that will use funds provided under this grant.
  4.  Coordinate the activities under this grant with the needs for operations research and for services under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare programmes.

The committee is chaired by the Secretary, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and is comprised of 23 members:
