Research

One of the strategies for the implementation of the GFATM project to Prevent HIV/AIDS Among Young People in Bangladesh is to generate an evidence base to provide a strategic direction for the project’s interventions.

By 2009, the impact of advocacy effort and programmes will have been strengthened by the collection and use of relevant data on HIV/STI infection and risk behaviour among young people in Bangladesh.

ICDDR,B and its research partners (Population Council and Associates for Community and Population Research) have been completing various studies in support of these objectives, in two phases of project implementation.

Phase 1

November 2004 - March 2006

Phase 2

April 2006 - December 2008
