Introduction:
Technical Training Unit and Virology Laboratory at icddr,b are jointly organizing a 5-day training course on Computational Genomics and Bioinformatics from 29 January- 2 February, 2012. 

Course Structure: The course will be taught each day from 9:00 am-12:30 pm by icddr,b faculties/facilitators focusing on the following thematic areas:

• Day-1 : Theme- Sequence editing
• Day-2: Theme-Retrieving sequences from GenBank and alignment
• Day-3: Theme-Phylogeny 
• Day-4: Theme- Bioinformatics tools and Assignment 
• Day-5:Theme-Review of Assignment

Registration: 18-20 participants will be accepted for the course. The basis of registration will be on “first come first serve” and the payment of course fee TK 5000 (Taka Five thousand only)..

The course is open for participants from both within and outside icddr,b.

Evaluation and Certification: Participants will be evaluated by reviewing their assignment and a Certificate of Appreciation will be awarded at the end of the training course.
